Review: Tantus Uncut #1

When I first heard about the Tantus Uncut dildos, I realized it had never occurred to me to have a dildo with “foreskin.” There’s my American (Jewish) perspective showing, I suppose.

Tantus Uncut 1Some background on how the Uncuts came about. The Uncut dildos were a collaboration with SheVibe. (You may recall they co-designed Bound.) They were first revealed at a trade show in January 2015. People have been clamoring for intact Tantus dildos for years. Check out their blog post if you’d like to know more.

Once again, I misjudged the size of a toy when I requested the Uncut #1 for review. Lucky for you, I’m up for a challenge.

Here’s the description straight off the Tantus website:

The Uncut #1 is an incredibly realistic uncircumcised dildo, only .15″ wider but 1″ longer than the Uncut # 2.

Part of Tantus’ Dual Density O2 line, the Uncut features a Super SoftTM outer layer and a firm inner core for a little give and a lot of get.
Together with detailed skin texture, pores, veins, and wrinkles, the Uncut looks and feels remarkably real. It’s all about that foreskin!

Tantus Uncut_1 backFor those looking for the tl;dr: Uncut #1 is at least tied for first place (as of the time of this review) in my favorite dual density dildos. (The other is Adam.)

The Uncut #1 is made of Tantus’ dual density silicone. It’s squishy on the outside with a firm core. It’s more “realistic” versus glossy, and it’s got a great drag while thrusting. To add to the realism, Uncut is somewhat curved. It has veins, ridges, and pores. The veins weren’t particularly perceptible to me in use, but the ridges on the frenulum (the underside of the head) felt pretty good on my perineal sponge. I noticed the level of detail seemed to include the corpus spongiosm¹ which is kind of awesome.

It took a bit of warming up, but I didn’t use another, smaller toy for that. Most times, I went into using the Uncut “cold,” with maybe a little bit of vibration on my clit to get started. I used Sliquid Sassy water-based lube each time. When inserting Uncut, I had to go slow at first, letting my body slowly accept the girth and length (as much as possible) and not forcing anything. (Don’t be shy about adding more lube.)

I found that Uncut transfers vibration and tapping nicely. I sometimes placed the Magic Wand Rechargeable against the base for a moment which felt really yummy. Even better, I gently tapped the base while it was inside me and that knocked on my cervix a bit (which I enjoy).

The curve and the slightly larger head hooked beyond my pubic bone and pulled at my g-spot deliciously. I may have gushed a little bit in my longer forays with Uncut #1.

It’s a small detail, but something I mention in nearly all my dildo reviews, having a logo or something to help keep the toy going in the direction I want it to go. Sadly, this is missing from the Uncut #1. There isn’t any raised or etched logo to help me orient it while in use. It’s helpful when it’s there, and I do miss it when it is not present.

Tantus Mikey-Adam-Uncut_1Let’s talk size.

As I mentioned above, Uncut #1 was quite a bit larger than I anticipated. Even when reading the specs, sometimes it doesn’t quite click til you see it in person…or at least you have a side-by-side comparison. So, I snapped this comparative photo with my two other favorite dual density dildos so you can get a better idea.

I don’t think I was ever able to insert the entire Uncut #1. The interesting thing, though, was as I used it I noticed my cervix/uterus lifting to make room as I became more and more aroused. I found the additional length useful considering my difficulty with reach. I also had enough space to hold my We-Vibe Touch to my clit while propelling the Uncut at the same time.

Since some dildo length is lost during strap-on play, a toy this long may be a good option, especially if there are voluptuous bellies in the way, and if the receiver is able (or willing) to take something of this girth.

Specs, caring for Uncut #1, etc…

The Uncut #1 comes in Cream, Cocoa (the one I have), and Mocha.

The diameter is 1.75″ and circumference, 5.75″. Total length is 8.75″ with insertable length ~7.45″

Priced at $114, Uncut #1 is on the expensive side. There are often Tantus sales which I update on my sales and deals page. As always with Tantus silicone, you’d be investing in your sex toys. This is high quality stuff. If you take care of it, it’ll last.

So, how do you care for the Uncut #1? As of this posting, I’ve simply rinsed it before use to wash away any lint (it is a bit a of lint magnet), and used hot water and soap to wash it after use. Storing it in a Ziploc type bag is a good idea to minimize lint and so forth from getting attached between uses. The description on the Tantus site highly recommends boiling the Uncut or running it through the dishwasher on the top rack because it has has ridges, wrinkles, pores, etc. I don’t have a dishwasher, but I will probably end up doing a toy boil at some point.

Thank you so much to Tantus for sending me the Uncut #1! It’s awesome!

  1. Great review. I wonder if in countries where most men are uncircumcised if most dildo’s are uncut?
