January 1, 2017
My first Orgasmic Yoga practice of 2017 was fairly lazy, if I’m being totally honest. There’s no judgement here. It was much more of an exercise in mindful masturbation, focusing on breath, heart connection, savoring, and exploring some touch that I may not typically do. I had to keep batting away distracting thoughts, not following them along as far as I could. Each time I caught myself wandering, I paused in my stimulation and returned to my breath.
There was a lot of stopping and starting.
I didn’t have a playlist this time as I usually do, just a timer set for 30 minutes.
Other things I did was play with kegels – clenching and pushing out my PC muscles, and I held an overall intention to just stay in the moment. Keeping it simple.
It’s not always going to be perfect, transcendent, and high energy, but it’s important to show up to each practice. I set the intention of doing an Orgasmic Yoga practice from the start of the new year until my birthday (January 11th). I think it’ll be a fun, informative challenge to see what comes up for me, to hold space for myself, and to set the tone for 2017 – the end of my 20s and entering my 30s.
If you have any encouraging things to say to help me stay motivated, or suggestions of intentions to focus on, please let me know in the comments!
