Review: Dame Kip Silicone Lipstick Vibrator
This is my first experience with a Dame product in person. Among the things I love about Kip are the two fun colors – no traditional pinks or purples. They have a lavender which is super pretty and different. The Kip I received is a bright lemon-y yellow.
Let’s get right into it!
Kip is a great size, and for me, easy to hold and grip. The ergonomic prism shape makes me think of those pencil grippers from elementary school. This leads me to the confusing, counter-intuitive placement of the buttons. Long story short, I kept clicking the button right below the on/off thinking it was the “+” or increase button. Since Kip doesn’t have any sort of markers, visually or texturally, I struggled desperately, in the heat of the moment as I instinctively would press that “middle” button. It was basically a fluke the one time I pressed the other button – I nearly jumped out of my skin!
I love the satiny silicone of the Dame Kip; it feels great between my fingers. The shape, is different and pretty ergonomic. The flimsy, thin tip was something I had mixed feelings about in my early trials. I found it to be sharp and irritating at first, but that is probably because I had the vibration on such a low (annoying) setting.
When using Kip I tend to prefer to use the full triangular tip to cup my entire clitoris (the glans and hood, really, not the internal structures). Once I figured out a vibration strength that made sense to me, the shape made sense. And because of the distribution of my fat (belly, fupa) that tends to push my vulva down, I am able to use the broader, flat edge of Kip to press and almost lift at the 12 o’clock spot on my clit.
In one trial with Kip I faced the buttons away from me and really had the pinpoint tip on my clit – it was so intense, but in the best way. I think what was happening was that side of the prism ran along the shaft of my clit, allowing it to be stimulated in a way that it rarely experiences. This leads me to feel more strongly that Kip is quite versatile. I like that the orgasms I’ve had with Kip have been a great “slow” build. I’ve been using Satisfyers a lot lately which don’t always give me a chance to ramp up. One type of orgasm (or, really, the journey up to the orgasm) is not necessarily “better” than the other, just different.
As usual for me with vibrators, most of the settings and patterns are irrelevant and get ignored. I typically prefer to stick with the steady vibration and the one that ramps up from light to strong, like a delicious tease. The rest of the settings tend to be obstacles getting in the way of those two options.
Let’s talk noise level – always a factor when considering vibrators. Surprisingly, considering the power of Kip’s motor it’s fairly quiet. Certainly not silent, but it won’t wake the neighbors.

Care & Cleaning: Clean with soap and water using a lint-free cloth. Optionally, use gentle antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. Water-based lubricants are recommended.
Charging: The magnetic charging is absolutely brilliant. They snap and hold onto the vibe very securely. The cord itself is great as well. I very much appreciate that Dame went in this direction with a cord that is textured. It’s so simple, but huge when there are so many cords that are all the same, it gets confusing.
In terms of how long a charge lasts, I have not fully run the battery out, but I have gotten a lot of use out of Kip (8 to 20 minute sessions at a time) multiple times before going back to recharge it.
Measurements: 3.75″ in length. 1.5″ in width.
Final Thoughts
The Dame Kip is currently $85 at SheVibe. It’s right in between the We-Vibe Touch ($94.05) and Tango ($79) which I would say are pretty comparable clitoral vibrators. It’s an investment, for sure, and a strong clitoral vibrator in this price range. I would also add that if you’re looking for a pretty unobtrusive vibrator that would slip easily into partnered sex, Kip is a good option.
