Review: B Swish BBold Vibrator

UPDATE April 2018: The B Swish Bbold has been discontinued at SheVibe. They do have a rather extensive B Swish selection otherwise.

B Swish Bbold VibratorI seriously appreciate reviewing toys that are under one hundred dollars. When an item is under $50, that’s even better. I try my best to remember that not everyone can shell out tons of cash on sex toys. On the other hand, I do think that often times you do get what you pay for. Not always, but a lot of the time. I also enjoy trying out toys that are from less well-known or less popular companies. Unbeknownst to me, B Swish has a pretty extensive line of toys. I am not very familiar with their products in general, but I was excited to try out the Bbold.

My experience

The curve is visually inviting and the silky feel of the Bbold is a delicious texture which has an interesting drag. It doesn’t glide very easily, but I enjoyed it because it’s different from other toys I’ve tried out recently. The Bbold has a “clitoral cup” which is is touted as a featureB Swish Bbold "clitoral cup" for people who prefer gentler stimulation. As you may (or may not) surmise, it didn’t seem to do much for me that I noticed. I found the vibration to be on the buzzy side, which made me nervous. I wasn’t sure whether the B Swish Bbold would even get me off, or how I would respond in use. I think the width of the tip allowed for more stimulation than it might have if it was smaller, narrower, and more pinpointed. I managed on several occasions, to have orgasms with this vibrator, generally on the highest steady setting, but also on one of the patterns. I do wish for more of a rumbly vibration, but for once the buzz-i-ness isn’t all negative.

In terms of how to orient the Bbold, well, of course just do what feels best! The button placement is interesting. I kept gravitating toward holding it “backwards” with the flatter end (the opposite side of the “cup”) on my clit. Holding it the “wrong” way, seemed to work better with the buttons. I also used it for shallow internal/g-spot stimulation. The curve is pretty awesome for that. It cradles just under my g-spot nicely. Internally, the vibration has a little more of a rumbly effect. The drag from the coating on the Bbold makes for an interesting sensation that one doesn’t find in glossier toys. I wish that it was just a couple inches longer, but it’s not enough of an issue for me to quibble about.

Specs

The Bbold vibrator has seven functions; three steady vibrations and four patterns. The buttons are faintly reminiscent of the Mystic Wand by Vibratex in that there is a power button and a function button. It measures in at about 8″ end to end and about 4.25″ around at the tip.  In my own test of how long the battery lasts in use, it went over two hours and 20 minutes continuously on high. That doesn’t include the fact that I used it earlier in the day for maybe 10-15 minutes maximum.

I like that the charging portbbold charging port_WM has a little cover. I didn’t feel the need to worry as much while washing it with warm water and soap. It’s only water resistant though, so I wouldn’t go submerging it. It might be a good idea to use a soft toothbrush to get any gunk that might collect in the stripe on the outline.

It comes in a pretty nice box, but it is rather bulky (you could fit a couple toys in there). The Bbold also comes with a satin pouch for storage and a USB charger that will fit into most adaptors these days. It comes in black with a pink stripe or pink with a grey stripe.

I stuck to using water based lubes like Sliquid H2O or Liquid Silk when I tested it because I’m just not sure that the silicone coating would withstand silicone lube, and that tends to be my preference anyway. Since it’s made with plastic (under the silicone coating), the toy is both light and firm with no give at all. The fact that it is lightweight is a pretty big bonus for those that like to do two things at once; less strain on the arms. I’m looking at you, you orgasmic multitaskers!

The B Swish Bbold rings in at $49.99 at SheVibe which I think is right on point. It’s a good bang for your buck.

UPDATE: The Bbold is currently (Apr 6, 2016) $72.55. That’s a bit pricier than when I first reviewed, but it’s a multi use vibe. And sometimes it goes on sale.

Huge thanks to SheVibe for sending me the B Swish Bbold vibrator to try out!
