Tonight I was honored and humbled to help at an event. I wasn’t the center of attention, I was there to assist in whatever I could, offer people food, schmooze a little bit.

I wore the colors I was asked to wear (black and purple), braided my long hair, went to the event, helped out, and got to chat with many people, who I know and met for the first time.

There’s something that feeds the soul, at least for me, to give back, volunteer a little bit. The team work, too, is what makes events like this one run smoothly.
